Ajay Suryavanshi, Jashpur. Due to fear of elephants in the district, farmers are forced to remain vigilant. Farmers have harvested their crops and brought them to the barns, but due to the fear of elephants, farmers are keeping their crops safe. The elephants are reaching the village in broad daylight. In such a situation, the negligence of the forest staff is coming to light.
Actually, the whole matter is of Kansabel forest range of Jashpur forest division. Where the people of the villages around Chingrapatthal and Khutera are forced to stay alert in fear of elephants. A group of 8 to 10 elephants is roaming in the Kansabel forest area. Elephant groups are reaching the villages in search of fodder and water.
On Tuesday morning, a group of 8 elephants came out of the forest and attacked the village, about which the villagers informed the forest staff. However, the villagers chased the elephant group into the forest. But even after that, the concern of the farmers remains the same.
