To promote food processing industries in the district, the one-day workshop “Udyam Samagam” is being organized at Bemetra on January 19 from 11 am on behalf of the Department of Commerce and Industry. Commerce and Industry, Commerce Tax (Excise) Minister Kavasi Lakhma and Agriculture Minister Ravindra Chaubey will be the chief guests at the workshop. Kamal Singh Meena, General Manager of the District Trade and Industry Center, said that for each food block in the district, a total of 118.41 ha. The land has been received by the Industries Department, and a plan is being prepared for the construction of a food park on 60 acres of land in the first phase in Gram-Chandnu.
In this, information on land allocation, process of establishment of industry and rules for food processing industries will be provided in the workshop. The government has amended the New Industrial Policy 2019-24 to encourage industries, the percentage of grant payable to industries has been increased, on which complete information will be provided by the officers of the Department of Industries. Bemetara district is an agricultural district. Due to this, there is a lot of potential for agriculture and food based industries here. Various provisions have been made by the government to provide greater impetus to fruits, flowers, vegetables and other food processing industries, information of which will be provided in the workshop. Industrialists and those wishing to set up industries can participate in the workshop and get information about the policies, rules and procedures of the government for setting up the industry.
