On the death of the head of the family due to Kovid-19 epidemic, the beneficiaries will get loan from the Asha and Smile scheme

District Entrepreneur Cooperative Development Society, Marya. Raipur is facing difficulty in making a living due to the death of the head of the family due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To provide financial assistance to them, a scheme named Asha and Smile is being started by the National Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Finance Development Corporation.

The head of the family who used to take care of the family who died of corona, then the loan has to be made available for the person who takes care of that family. To start a business under the scheme, a loan of maximum amount of Rs 5 lakh will be given, which will include 20 percent capital grant.

Under this scheme, such native residents of Raipur district who belong to the Scheduled Caste / Backward Class community and whose age is between 18 to 50 years can apply. The annual family income of the applicant should be up to Rs.3 lakh. For this the certificate issued by the competent authority will be valid.

It is to be known that the age of the deceased under this scheme should be between 18 to 60 years i.e. the bread earner must have died when he was in the age group of 18 to 60 years. The “bread earner” is defined as the member of the family whose income contributes the largest proportion to the total household income. Documents acceptable as proof of death of the bread earner by COVID-19 will be the Registrar of Births and Deaths or the death certificate issued by the local municipal body or the receipt issued by the local authority at the cremation ground/cemetery. If death has occurred in any village, then the letter of the Block Development Officer (BDO) of the village can also be accepted.

The Executive Officer of the District Entrepreneur said that the applicants willing to take the loan would have to furnish a security equal to the loan in case the loan is sanctioned. This loan will be recovered in the form of installment per month at 6 percent annual interest rate. For this, the eligible applicants should immediately get the application form and fill it completely till July 2, 2021 in the office of Collector Complex, District Antyavasi Cooperative Development Society, Marya. Raipur (Chhattisgarh) can receive and submit applications within the prescribed period in room number-34.
