Raipur. IPS-2024 conference has been organized by NTPC Limited, which will continue till 15 February. This three-day conference was inaugurated by NTPC CMD Gurdeep Singh. NTPC Chairperson Ghanshyam Prasad also participated in this conference as the chief guest. Union Energy Minister RK Singh inaugurated the program on virtual mode.
Let us tell you that this event is organized by NTPC every year with a different theme. NTPC Limited has organized Indian Power Station Operation and Maintenance, IPS-2024 from 13 to 15 February 2024 at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium. This program is being organized to commemorate the anniversary of the commissioning of the first unit of NTPC’s Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station in Uttar Pradesh on 13 February 1982. NTPC Group has since grown to approximately 74 GW (including JVs) across over 90 locations across India, covering thermal, gas, hydro and renewables.
From energy-efficient technologies to streamlining operation and maintenance workflows, the O&M Summit-2024 will highlight innovative strategies to enhance safety, reliability and cost-effective power generation. Technical sessions and exhibitions are also being organized during this conference. In the last few years the conference has been receiving tremendous response with trending themes. This year’s theme is O&M Practices for Safe, Reliable and Cost-Effective Power Generation.
Senior officials of Power Ministry, CEA, CERC, NTPC and others will participate in this program. The conference is an ideal platform for energy professionals, researchers, manufacturers, service providers and engineers to share information on their operations and maintenance experiences, emerging technologies and industry best practices. Around 700 delegates, besides around 75 vendors from India and other countries, are expected to participate in the conference. Technogalaxy will showcase products being developed by around 44 manufacturers.
