Now there will be 9 assessments of school students in a year

In addition to 6 monthly assessments, quarterly, half-yearly and annual assessment will be done for the students studying in class I to XII in the state. Based on the assessment, the grading of the children will also be done. Monthly assessment will be done in the last week of every month and in the first week of the following month the students and their parents will be given assessment results and progress sheets. Signatures will also be made from the parents every month. Monthly assessment will be done for 5 consecutive days in the period of the concerned subject. As far as possible, only one subject will be assessed in a day. According to the procedure laid down by the School Education Department, the monthly assessment will be of 25 marks for each subject. In which from class III to VIII, 20 marks will be written and 05 marks will be on practical, assigned work or project work. For classes I and II, 15 marks will be written and 10 marks will be for practical, assignment or project work. For grading school children, only grades will be written in the progress sheet of students from class I to V. There will be subject wise marks, grades and percentage in the progress sheet of students from class 6th to 8th. In addition to this the rank (place in the class) will also be given. The place in the class will be given on the basis of grade and not on the basis of marks. From class 9th to 12th the marks scheme set by the Board of Secondary Education will be used. Monthly first assessment July, second assessment August, third assessment October, fourth assessment for classes I to XII according to the calendar set for assessment by the School Education Department. November, fifth assessment will be done in January and sixth assessment will be done in the month of February. 6 monthly assessment of the students studying in the whole session will be of 50-50 marks from first to fifth, while from class 6th to 12th it will be of 100-100 marks. Months of July and August For monthly assessment, question papers for classes I to VIII will be made available by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and from class 9 to 12 by the Board of Secondary Education in the form of samples with model answers. Monthly assessment for the months of July and August will be done from these question papers. According to the sample question paper of other months, the teachers themselves will prepare the question paper on the basis of the prescribed syllabus and blue print. For this, class wise, subject wise, question banks will also be provided by SCERT. Children will be given 2 to 3 days time as per requirement for experimental, assigned work, survey work, project work. The LOS based objective type, very short answer, short answer and long answer will be made according to the blue print against all the assessments. Quarterly, half yearly and annual assessment for class I and II will be of 50 marks each. In this, 30 marks will be written and 20 marks will be based on practical, assigned work, project work. Quarterly, half yearly and annual assessment for classes 3 to 5 will be of 50 marks each. In this, 40 marks will be written and 10 marks will be based on practical, assigned work, project work. Quarterly, half yearly and annual assessment for class 6th to 8th will be of 100 marks each. In this, 80 marks will be written and 20 marks will be based on practical, assigned work, project work. Blue print prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education will be used in the assessment process of high school and higher secondary level. Quarterly assessment will be based on the prescribed syllabus from June to September. Half yearly assessment will be based on the prescribed syllabus from June to September. The Annual Assessment will be based on the entire syllabus. The questions in Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Assessment of Class I and II will be cognitive, comprehension and application based. The questions from Monthly Assessment for Classes III to V will be cognitive, comprehension and application, analysis/evaluation/creativity based, while questions from Quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly Assessment will be cognitive, comprehension and application based. Similarly, questions from Monthly Assessment, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly Assessment from class 6th to 8th will be based on cognitive, comprehension and application, analysis/evaluation/creativity. Monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual assessment will be done for class 9th to 12th on the basis of blue print produced by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education.
