Out of the purchases made so far in Kawardha district, 6 lakh 10 thousand quintal paddy has been lifted from the society. Markfed is currently raising paddy in maximum capacity for the collection center. Due to less number of rice millers in the district and no rice picking by rice millers of other districts, daily purchases are being made. Only 40 percent of the paddy is being lifted from the society. Due to non-lifting of paddy from the society by the district administration, alternative paddy procurement locations have also been selected in the procurement centers and society-wise, which is being continuously monitored daily. It is the effort of the district administration that the farmers who have been issued tokens for daily, should buy their paddy before sunset on the same day. The collector said that till now, the district administration has received full cooperation in the system of farmer companions, farmer brothers and their representatives. Also appealed to get further cooperation.
