Policemen will be deployed at these places in the city
In-charge Superintendent of Police J.R. As per Thakur’s instructions, hundreds of policemen including police station in-charges have been deployed on duty under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Patle and under the supervision of all police gazetted officers. 16 different places in the city, Amanaka Overbridge Chowk, (near Ashoka Biryani), Opposite Saraswati Police Station, Amapara Chowk, Gol Chowk, DD Nagar, Jaistambh Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk, SRP Chowk, Marine Drive Pond, Old Bus Stand, Fafadih. Fixed pickets have been installed at the Chowk, in front of the railway station, Bharat Mata Chowk Gudhiyari, Bhanpuri Tiraha, Banjari Mandir Chowk, Sindhaniya Chowk Urla and Budhwari Bazar Chowk Urla.
Along with this, traffic police have set up checking points at 7 different places in the city, near Hotel Lalit Mahal, VIP Road near Shri Ram Mandir, near Vidhan Sabha turning, Lodhipara Chowk, Kalibari Chowk and Telibandha police station. A checking point has been set up to check the drivers with breath analyzer.
Patrolling party will keep an eye on the rioters
More than 4 patrolling parties have been deployed from Vidhan Sabha turning to Zero Point, from Phundahar Chowk to Airport turning, from Serikhedi overbridge to Naya Raipur turning and on the outer roads of Naya Raipur, which will keep track of people driving at high speed after drinking alcohol. Will take action against criminal elements including those creating ruckus. Along with this, police teams have been deployed on foot patrolling along with vehicles in the entire police station areas of Raipur district, Raipur Police will keep an eye on every nook and corner.
