An initiative to connect the agricultural economy of Chhattisgarh with industries has been taken in the new industrial policy. Industries are also being encouraged to provide employment to the people through valuation of agricultural produce and forest produce in the state. New provisions have also been made to connect backward classes with industries in the state. Due to industrial friendly policies, new industries are being established in the state. Special incentive packages are being given to new startups to connect the youth with entrepreneurship. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, investment promotion is being promoted in the state. Entrepreneurs are being attracted in the core sector as well as in new sectors. In the last 3 years, a total of one thousand 751 industrial units have been established, in which an investment of Rs. 19550.72 crore has been made. Due to this 32 thousand 912 people have got employment. During this, 478 units based on agriculture and food processing have been established, in which a total capital investment of Rs 1167.28 crore has been made and 6319 persons have also got employment. Work has been started for setting up of 200 Food Parks. Land identification and other necessary action is being taken for about 110 food parks. A provision of Rs 50 crore has been made for the establishment of a food park in the financial year 2022-23, in the coming years many industries based on agriculture and food processing will also be established in the state and which will also increase employment opportunities for the local people. Food Processing Mission Under the Chhattisgarh Food Processing Mission scheme, a provision of Rs 14 crore has been made for the grant in aid for food processing in the financial year 2022-23. Under this scheme, upgradation of industries, establishment, modernization and development of cold chain, value addition and conservation infrastructure in both horticulture and non-horticulture sectors, processing centers and collection centers are also included in the scheme. The contract has been signed for setting up of ethanol plant at Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory in Kanwardha district on PPP mode. Similarly, it has been decided to set up a maize based ethanol plant in the proposed Maize Processing Unit at Kokdi village in Kondagaon district. Incentive to Backward Classes – Share capital assistance for SC, ST and women entrepreneurs to set up their own industries. Grant scheme has been implemented as It has been decided to reserve 10 percent land in industrial areas to encourage other backward class entrepreneurs. It has been decided to give eligibility for grant and exemption along with new registration on purchase of closed and sick industries of the state. have been done. Some units have started commercial production. 508 Startup Units Registered – Chhattisgarh State Startup Package has been implemented to encourage startup units in Industrial Policy 2019-24. Under which 508 startup units have been registered in the last 3 years. A special incentive package has been announced by the Government of India for the units recognized by them to be established in Chhattisgarh. Under this, exemption is being provided for interest subsidy, fixed capital investment grant, exemption on electricity duty, exemption in stamp duty, exemption in project report etc. Concession for new industries- MSME service from 16 major under Industrial Policy 2019-24 Provision has been made to provide industrial investment incentives to category enterprises such as electric vehicle charging stations, service centers, BPO, 3D printing, seed grading, etc., on the lines of general category industries. Women self-help groups and third gender entrepreneurs have been classified separately for industry investment promotion.
