All India Pre and Para Clinical Medicos Association (AIPCMA) Chhattisgarh, Association of Medical Biochemist of India (AMBI) Chhattisgarh State Unit and other health organisations submitted memorandum to Governor, Health Minister and State Government and demanded necessary amendment in Gazette of Chhattisgarh Health Services. Dr Piyush Bhargava, State Convener of AIPCMA and IMBI informed that delegations from Chhattisgarh unit of AIPCMA, AMBI, IAPSM and Junior Doctors Association handed over memorandum to Governor of state Anusuiya Uikey, Health Minister TS Singh Deo and state government officials. They requested to make necessary amendment in Gazette of Chhattisgarh Health Services regarding the appointment rules of medical officer and inclusion of five subjects in health services. Dr Piyush Bhargava, further informed that in present scenario there is need to make amendments in Gazette of Chhattisgarh Health Services. They demanded 50 percent direct recruitment in post of Medical Officers for District hospitals in public interest. At present out of 1400 posts 132 Medical officers are on job and about 70 percent are going to retire in a year or two. Secondly appointment of Bio-Chemistry, Micro-Biologist, Community Medicine, Forensic medicine and Radiotherapy experts in district hospital as well as in Community Health centre would be appropriate. The reports generated by automatic machines installed at diagnostic labs can be cross verified by the experts of Bio-Chemistry. In medico legal cases Forensic experts play important role. For social welfare community medicine experts prepare projects, while Radiologist play important role in treatment of Cancer. Micro-Biologists are required to study micro-organisms. All the experts given their services in medical colleges and because they are present in good quantity their services can be taken for common public through community medicine centres and district hospitals. Dr Bhargav further informed that Health Minister T S Singhdeo has assured to take necessary step in this regard.
