Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan took the oath of office as the ninth Governor of Chhattisgarh in a dignified ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan today. The Chief Justice of the High Court Justice Shri Arup Kumar Goswami administered the oath to him. Governor Shri Harichandan took oath in the name of God in Hindi. First lady Mrs. Suprabha Harichandan was present on this occasion. State Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Justice of High Court Bilaspur Mr. Justice Arup Kumar Goswami, Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant greeted Governor Mr. Harichandan by presenting him with a bouquet and extended best wishes. At the function, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain read out the Warrant of Appointment issued by the President for the appointment of Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan as the Governor of Chhattisgarh. The swearing-in ceremony began and ended with the National Anthem played by the Ceremonial Police Band. The tune of the state anthem was also played on the occasion. After taking the oath, the Governor Mr. Vishwabhushan Harichandan was given a guard of honour. On this occasion, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Health Minister Mr. T.S.
