MLA Ranjana Sahu has sent a letter to the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister in charge of Dhamtari district and through telephone talks and demanded that the Agricultural Produce Market be opened very soon. Earlier, there was a demand in this regard. Ranjana Sahu said that the agricultural produce market is closed due to the lockdown. Farmers are forced to take their produce to the rice mills and sell the kocchi at throwaway prices. Due to this, farmers are facing losses. Keeping in view the problems of farmers and the minister in-charge of Dhamtari district, the MLA has demanded to start agriculture produce market Dhamtari at the earliest, so that farmers can get the facility.
