Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia today inaugurated District Disabled Rehabilitation Center in the Social Welfare Department office premises located at village Jhalmala in Balod district. He visited the rehabilitation center and took stock and inquired about the facilities available there. Sanjari-Balod MLA Smt. Sangeeta Sinha was present on the occasion. Minister Smt. Bhendia said that now due to the availability of rehabilitation center facilities for the disabled in Balod district, the needy here will not have to go out to any other district, they will get facilities in the district itself. . This will give a lot of convenience to the handicapped people of the district. Minister Smt. Bhendia told the Divyangjans present in the program that the State Government is running various welfare schemes for the Divyangjans. He gave detailed information about various schemes run by the government and motivated them to take maximum advantage of it. Minister Smt. Bhendia benefitted the differently-abled in the program by providing checks of incentive amount and accessories under various schemes. In which 12 Divyangjans were benefitted by providing battery operated tricycles, 12 Divyangjans with normal tricycles, 01 Divyangjans with wheelchairs and two Divyangjans under Divyang Vivah Protsahan Yojana by providing a check of 50-50 thousand rupees incentive amount.
