Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahria attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of Sahu Samaj organized at Badgaon in Raipur district here today. On this occasion, he inaugurated the building of Sahu Samaj constructed at a cost of about 6.50 lakh in Badgaon and administered oath to the newly elected office bearers. With this, the Sahu society will be able to develop progressively. He said that it is a matter of happiness that Sahu Samaj is moving ahead on the path shown by devotee Mata Karma. The whole life of devotee Mata Karma, her ideals are exemplary not only for the Sahu society but for the whole society. Dr. Dahria said that Bhakt Mata Karma, the beloved goddess of Sahu Samaj, inspires us to accept her high ideals with the sacred spirit of “Mansa Vacha Karmana” and make them practical. He said that the significance of any social organization depends on how much it is promoting social harmony. The scale of progress and development of any society is judged by the educational level of the social brethren. The society needs to pay more attention towards education. Minister Dr. Dahria said that about 242 social buildings have been constructed at different places of Arang block, in which about 62 buildings are social buildings of Sahu. With the construction of community buildings for all societies, it will be convenient to do social work. In Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, many public welfare and welfare schemes are being run by the state government. In order to take advantage of these schemes, there should be an initiative on the part of the society.
