Neha Kesharwani, Raipur. After the assembly elections in the state, the Election Commission of India has now started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. The Election Commission has announced the program regarding this. In which the work of revising the voter list will start from January 6. That means there will be initial publication of voter list format.
Voters who complete 18 years on January 1, 2024 will be able to get their names added to the list. After which names will be added, deleted and modified from January 6 to 22. The final voter list will be published on 8th February.
More than 2 crore 3 lakh voters
At present there are a total of 2 crore 3 lakh 93 thousand 160 voters in the state. These include 1 crore 2 lakh 56 thousand 865 female voters and 1 crore 1 lakh 35 thousand 543 male voters. Apart from this, the total number of voters of third gender community is 752. There are 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in Chhattisgarh. At the same time, there are a total of 24,109 polling stations in 90 assembly constituencies of the state. There are 20,920 polling station locations, of which 3227 are located in urban and 17,693 in rural areas.
