Raipur. The SAI government is going to hold the last cabinet meeting of this year (2024) on Monday. This meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, in which the government can take decisions on many important decisions. The meeting will be held on December 30 at 3:30 pm in the ministry. It is expected that many important proposals related to the development and public interest of the state may be discussed in this meeting.
Important decisions taken in the last meeting of the Council of Ministers
Let us tell you, many important decisions were taken in the meeting of Chhattisgarh Council of Ministers on December 11, which will prove to be a milestone for the developmental activities and administrative reforms of the state. Let’s look at some of these key decisions:
Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill, 2024: The Council of Ministers has approved presenting the draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill in the Assembly for the second supplementary estimate year 2024-2025. Relaxation for Scheduled Tribe category in police recruitment: It has been decided to give one-time relaxation in height and chest standards to the youth of Scheduled Tribe category of the state in Chhattisgarh Police Recruitment. This relaxation will be applicable in the recruitment process of Subedar, Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander to be held in 2024. Amendment in Assembly Member Salary and Pension: The Council of Ministers approved the draft of a Bill 2024 to amend the Assembly Member Salary and Pension, through which changes will be made in the salary, allowances and pension of the members. Promotion of Dairy Industry: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with the National Dairy Development Board to encourage dairy entrepreneurship in the state. Its objective is to improve milk collection and processing. Amendment in Land Revenue Code: The draft of Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was approved, which will make necessary changes in the laws related to land. Regularization of unauthorized development: Chhattisgarh Regularization of Unauthorized Development (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was approved to regularize unauthorized development in the state. Exemption in road tax in Auto Expo: It was decided to give 50 percent exemption in lifetime road tax on vehicles during the Auto Expo to be held in Raipur (from 15 January to 15 February 2025). Sports Promotion Scheme: To promote sports, the action plan was approved under Chhattisgarh Sports Promotion Scheme. Under this, schemes will be made to encourage sports clubs, provide financial assistance to players and promote Olympic sports in rural areas. Paddy procurement and custom milling: Many important decisions were taken for disposal of paddy in the Kharif marketing year of 2024-25. In this, permission was given to dispose of the surplus paddy through auction and arrangements were made for fortified rice for custom milling. Incentive amount: It was decided to release the first installment of pending incentive amount to rice mills for 2023-24. Amendments in Panchayat Raj and Municipality: Drafts of amendment bills of Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act, Municipal Corporation Act, Municipal Act and Goods and Services Tax (GST) were approved.
