Kodo-kutki will also be declared the minimum support price: Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

Bhupesh Baghel has said that Kodo-Kutki will also be declared the minimum support price from this year. The announcement was made by the Chief Minister at the general meeting held in Bijapur. He announced Kutru and Gangalur as tehsils in Bijapur district. He sanctioned funds for deepening and beautification of 12 ponds of the district including development work being carried out in Bijapur for upgrading and beautification of Loha Dongri, Mahadev Talab and development of 10 roads in the district and bus stand in Bhairamgarh, Awapalli and Mander Construction announced. He approved setting up of procurement centers for paddy procurement at Tongpalli and Bhadrakali.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that no shortage will be allowed for the development work of Bastar division. He said that along with the development of Bastar’s culture, civilization, people of this region, education, health and sports will be promoted with the highest priority. He said that there is no shortage of talent in Bastar, only need to be given opportunity. The government is committed to provide all possible efforts and opportunities for the betterment of Bastarites. He said that to give rights to local people in water, forest and land, forest rights community and individual pattas are being given by the government. The government is giving the right to land to the landless people in Bastar. He said that power has become a part of the basic needs of the people in today’s era. The work of providing electricity in this area is going on a war footing. Closed schools have been restarted by the government. Local youth have been given employment opportunities. The amount of DMF is being used for education, health, livelihood. To fight malnutrition, the government launched the Suchitran Abhiyan, which has benefitted more than 77 thousand children. 52 types of minor forest produce are being purchased with minimum support price. Mahua, tamarind were also collected by villagers in the coronas. In Bijapur, more than 8 thousand people are benefiting from bamboo-related employment business. Connecting Bastarites with employment business and making them self-reliant is the priority of the government.

On this occasion, Revenue Minister and Bijapur district’s in-charge minister Mr. Jaysingh Agrawal, Industries Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma, Sasand Bastar Mr. Deepak Badge, MLA Bijapur Mr. Vikram Shah Mandavi addressed the general meeting. On this occasion, Vice President of Bastar Development Authority, Mr. Santram Netam, District Panchayat President Mr. Shankar Kudiyam, Bastar Commissioner Mr. G.R. A large number of villagers were present including Churendra, IG Mr. P. Sundararaj, Collector Mr. Ritesh Kumar Agarwal, Superintendent of Police Mr. Kamalochan Kashyap and public representative.
