“Khelbo Jeetbo Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh” sports academies will provide world class facilities to the players

A better environment is being prepared for sports in Chhattisgarh. With the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Umesh Patel, the construction work of world-class infrastructure is going on for the development of different sports in the state. The government is taking concrete steps to provide adequate facilities to the players. In order to prepare the players at the international level, sports academies have been formed under the Chhattisgarh Sports Development Authority. The government is also giving incentive money to the players. To promote the traditional sports of Chhattisgarh, during the youth festival, traditional games like bumblebee, gendi race and fugdi have been organized in the districts including the state capital. International level hockey stadiums are ready in the state at Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon and Jashpur. For the operation of the academy, arrangements have been made for the training of players, availability of sports material, stadium maintenance, coach appointment, food and residential management by selecting a sports and stadium from the CSR item for the operation of the academy. The main objective of the Sports Development Authority constituted on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel is to implement policy decisions in the field of sports, maintenance and protection of the assets created, as well as the use and development of sports infrastructure, availability of sports resources to the players, etc. Chhattisgarh Sports Academy Sports academies are being built with the aim of preparing the players of the state for the future by giving them modern sports training through better scientific methods. These academies will have international level infrastructure, standard sports equipment and better training facilities. In this episode, Late B.R. Residential training for athletics, archery and hockey has been established in the sports academy named after Yadav and Late Koduram Varma Dhanurvidha Residential Academy in the premises of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium in Raipur. In both the residential academies, arrangements will be made for free food, sports training, scholarship and insurance as well as education to the players. Along with the players, other staff are being recruited for these academies. Similarly, non-residential Girls Football Academy and non-residential Boys-Girls Athletic Academy are running at Swami Vivekananda Stadium in Raipur. Similarly, non-residential hockey and archery academy is being run in Raipur itself. Non-residential Archery Training Sub-centre is operating in Shivtarai village of Bilaspur. Preparations have started for the establishment of Shaheed Gundadhur State Level Archery Academy in Jagdalpur. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has announced the establishment of Mallakhambha Academy in Narayanpur district in this budget. For this, a provision of Rs 2 crore 83 lakh has been made in the budget of the financial year 2022-23. International level tennis stadium and academy are being constructed at Labhandi Raipur to develop better facilities for playing tennis in the state. An announcement has been made by the Chief Minister to start a badminton academy in Raipur itself. A provision of Rs. These include Rs 1 crore for award and Rs 3 crore for incentive and cash award. A provision of Rs.6 crore 47 lakh 75 thousand has been made in this budget for sports academies. These include Rs 3 crore 84 lakh 67 thousand for sports academy in Raipur and Rs 2 crore 23 lakh 28 thousand for sports training academy in Bilaspur. There is a provision of one crore rupees in this budget for Chhattisgarh Sports Development Authority. A token provision of Rs 3 lakh has been made under the 37th National Sports Plan. Rural sports competitions will be organized from block level to state level. For this, a provision of Rs.1 crore 50 lakh has been made under the head of rural sports competition. A provision of Rs. 1 crore 26 lakh has been made for training of players and giving opportunity to participate in sports competitions. Through this, summer sports training camps will be organized every year for the budding players in all the districts. The state government provides financial assistance to encourage the activities of sports federations and other sports related organizations. For this, a provision of one crore 50 lakh has been made in this budget. A provision of Rs 50 lakh has been made in this budget for the Chief Minister Khiladi Protsahan Yojana. Through this scheme, players will be provided financial assistance, high-level sports training, sports material facilities for participation in national and international competitions. Apart from this, this encouragement will also be given to the talented sportspersons, mountain climbers and youth of the state. With the objective of creating an environment of sports in the street, the State Sports Festival scheme has been started. Through this, rural and urban youth players will get an opportunity to showcase their sports talent and skills. To create awareness about sports among women, women’s sports competition will be organized from block level to state level. For this, an amount of Rs 2 crore has been kept in the budget this time.
