Collector Chandan Kumar has declared three local holidays for the calendar year 2021 for Kanker district. Nawakhai festival in the district has been declared as a local holiday on 15 September Wednesday, the second day of Deepawali (Govardhan Puja), 5 November Friday and Tulsi Vivah (Dev Uttani) 15 November Monday. The treasury and sub treasury will remain open as per the said local holidays.
