On 26 January Republic Day, Jashpur District Collectorate has received the first ISO 9001-2015 certificate for providing public administrative services in the state. The services provided to the public for speedy grievance redressal and implementation have been considered as the basis in the certificate.
Collector Shri Mahadev Kavre received these certificates in the hands of Parliamentary Secretary Chintamani Maharaj on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations. The Collector said that the ISO team led by Mr. Rahul Sharma visited the Collectorate and inspected law and order, timely disposal of matters related to public welfare, discharge of government duties and other work. The ISO team stated that some collectrates were awarded ISO certificates for a particular area, but the Jashpur Collectorate has been awarded ISO certificates for the entire region.
Additional Collector Thakur, and other senior officials provided full support to the team. ISO certificate is required for obtaining loan from World Bank and other national and international organizations. Jashpur district administration has adopted e-governance with the aim of providing quality service to the citizens. Computerization of office functions and processes helps in better planning and faster decision making. Jashpur Collector Mahadev Kavre said that availability of computerized data is easy and effective, District Administration Jashpur has taken several e-Governance initiatives so far in providing ISO 9001-2015 certificate for public administration activities to Jashpur Collectorate Has been helpful Quality policy for officers and employees and regular training programs are being organized to improve the same. The ISO team continuously conducts in-office inspections and ensures that the ISO standards are maintained, this helps ensure quality delivery service to the citizens.
