Today, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh conducted on-site inspection of flood works to deal with the possible floods of Hardoi district. First of all, Hon’ble Minister inspected village Katri Parsaula. During this, Executive Engineer Akhilesh Kumar Gautam informed that under the project, work has been proposed for the construction of five nos. Geobag spur and 18 nod. Percupine spur in 1752 meter length. As per the requirement of the work site, the work of 16 nos. Percupine spur and 05 no. of Geobag spur has been completed. The work of installing the Geobag gabion in the proposed length of 1752 meters has been completed. To protect the banks of the river from erosion, the work of installing chapa grass is in progress. The work of planting grass will be completed with the arrival of monsoon. Shri Singh instructed Executive Engineer Akhilesh Gautam to complete the work of filling the forest and planting of grass before the water level of the river rises in Percupine. He said that the Uttar Pradesh government is taking full precautions regarding flood control.
