Pradeep Gupta, Kabirdham. 4 accused have been arrested while taking quick action on the information of online betting during the IPL cricket match. On the basis of the information received, the Podi Chowki police have arrested the accused from the spot. Mobile phones, speculative-patti, cash amount and other evidence have been seized from their possession. During interrogation, the accused have admitted to indulging in speculative activities through online apps and social media chat during IPL matches.
The arrested accused include Baihar Sari, Pauri Chowki resident Kapoor Chand Verma (31 years), Selhati, Gaurav Chandrasen (23 years) of Thana Bodla, Himanshu Verma (22 years) and Baihar Sari, Raghuveer Verma (22 years), resident of Pauri Chowki, Raghuveer Verma (22 years).
