The team of Raipur Police, which reached Bengaluru to investigate the toolkit case, took a written statement of Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Gowda. Along with this, important documents related to the toolkit were obtained. The police team will record the statements of Congress IT Cell President Rohan Gupta and Soumya Verma today.
After registering the FIR in the Toolkit case, the Raipur Police is actively involved in the investigation. On Thursday, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Raipur (Rural) Tarakeswar Patel, the team of CSP Kotwali Anjaneya Varshney, Civil Line Police Station in-charge RK Mishra and Sub-Inspector Manish Vajpai had left for Bengaluru to interrogate Congress leader Rajeev Gowda and others in the case.
The team recorded Rajeev Gowda’s statement after reaching Bengaluru without losing time. Along with recording the statement for two and a half hours, documents related to the case have also been obtained. The team will take the statements of Congress IT Cell President Rohan Gupta and Soumya Verma today. According to sources, Raipur Police can also go to Ahmedabad to investigate the whole matter.
The Raipur Police has taken the statement of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh in the toolkit case, while the BJP’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra is in the process of issuing a notice for recording the statement. On the notice issued for the last two times, Sambit Patra had sought time through his lawyer.
