The Health Department of the State Government has issued a notification to provide last opportunity for personal hearing before the termination of service of medical officers who were absent for three years unofficially. According to the circular issued by the Directorate of Health Services in the year 2013 by the Finance and Planning Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh, this information has been issued under the provision of giving reasonable opportunity to the government servants to explain the reasons for absenteeism. The provision mentioned in the circular “If a Government servant remains unauthorisedly absent for more than three years, then a Government servant who is absent from duty for a continuous period exceeding three years, with or without leave, other than outside service, shall be deemed to shall be deemed to have resigned from service unless the Governor, having regard to the exceptional circumstances of the case, determines otherwise, but before giving effect to these provisions, the Government servant shall be given a reasonable opportunity of explaining the reasons for such absence.” This information has been issued by the department to provide the last opportunity to the medical officers for hearing.
Unauthorizedly absent for three years to the medical officers within seven days of the publication of the information in the Directorate, Health Services, Chhattisgarh, 3rd Floor, Indravati Bhawan, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur during office hours in person or through post. side has been directed to present. If the claim-objection is not submitted within the stipulated time period, disciplinary action will be taken against the medical officers by taking disciplinary action, for which the officers themselves will be responsible.
