Governor signed captive Chhattisgarh Amendment Bill 2021

Governor Anusuiya Uike signed the Bandhi (Chhattisgarh Amendment) Bill 2021. Accordingly, the imposition of the State of Chhattisgarh Act, 1900 (1900 No. 3) (hereinafter referred to as the Basic Act), may be amended in the manner provided thereafter. In sub-section (1) of section 31-A of the original Act, for the word “twenty-one”, the word “forty-two” should be substituted. In sub-section (3), in clause (i), for the word “two”, the word “three” should be substituted and in clause (ii), for the word “ten”, the word “Fourteen” should be substituted. It is noteworthy that this Act will be called the Bandi (Chhattisgarh Amendment) Act, 2021. It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Gazette.
