Republic Day celebrations were celebrated with great enthusiasm in Durg district. Chhattisgarh Government, Forest and Climate Change Department, Transport, Housing and Environment, Law and Legislative Affairs Department and Minister in-charge Mr. Mohammad Akbar took the salute of the parade by hoisting the flag in the main function of Republic Day organized at Police Parade Ground of Durg. On this occasion, he read out the Chief Minister’s message to the public. He also released colorful balloons symbolizing gaiety and gaiety in the sky. Forest Minister Mr. Akbar while reading out the message sent by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel to the public said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, an amount of more than Rs.11 thousand crore has been given to the farmers from the state budget. Now all Kharif crops including paddy, small cereal crops like Kodo, Kutki, Ragi, Pulses, Oilseeds and Horticulture crops have also been included in this scheme. A new record has been set for the purchase of paddy on support price in the state. Last year more than 92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured and this year a target has been set to procure 105 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. Forest Minister Shri Akbar while reading out the message sent by Chief Minister Shri Baghel to the public said that from the upcoming Kharif year 2022-2023, pulses crops like moong, urad, tur will also be purchased at minimum support price in the state. Chhattisgarh Shakambhari Board for Horticulture crops Tea Coffee Board has been constituted to promote the production and processing of tea and coffee. Fish farming and lac production have been given the status of agriculture. A large part of the rural population of Chhattisgarh is dependent on agricultural labour, who face employment crisis after the kharif season. For such landless agricultural laborers, under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, the first installment of the amount will be transferred to the account of eligible beneficiaries on February 01. A new revolution of Vermicompost production and use has taken birth. Which will help in solving the impending chemical fertilizer crisis in the country. Chief Guest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar felicitated the officers and employees of various departments who did remarkable work in the ceremony after flag hoisting.
