Netam told in the House that a provision of Rs 2956 crore 40 lakh 52 thousand has been made in revenue and capital expenditure in the upcoming financial year 2025-26 for the schemes run by the Tribal Welfare Department. This includes provisions of Rs 2205 crore 19 lakh 38 thousand for scheduled tribe, Rs 531 crore 17 lakh 64 thousand for scheduled caste and Rs 220 crore 3 lakh 50 thousand for other backward classes and minority class. He informed that the tribal sub -plan item has a budget provision of Rs 40,800 crore 76 lakh 49 thousand in the upcoming budget for various departments. A total provision of Rs 14,036 crore 49 lakh 56 thousand has been made in the Scheduled Castes Sub -Plan item.
Responding to the discussion on the demands of grant, Netam said that many programs are being run for the development of tribal areas and scheduled caste dominated villages in the state and socio-economic upliftment of local communities. The Government of India is implementing an important campaign called the Prime Minister’s Tribal Justice Justice Maha Abhiyan (PM-Janman) for the development of tribal areas, it includes five special backward tribes of the state Baiga, Pahari Korba, Kamar, Abuzhmadia and Birhor. Through this, quick works are being done for the development and expansion of basic facilities in special backward tribes. The state government has made a provision of Rs 300 crore for the development of special backward tribes in the new budget. He informed that more than 59 thousand 800 special backward tribe families are residing in 2161 settlements of 18 districts of the state, whose population is about 2 lakh 29 thousand.
The dilapidated ashram-nivas will be quick
Tribal Welfare Minister Ramvichar Netam told in the House that residents of remote areas are connecting with the mainstream of development through Nayed Nella Nar. Dharti Aba tribal village Utkarsh Abhiyan is a plan of 80 thousand crore rupees run by the Government of India, which includes 6 thousand villages of Chhattisgarh. He said that a provision of Rs 2 crore 50 lakh has been made for the preservation and development of “Akhara Vikas” of Scheduled Tribes and the archaic tradition of tribal communities for the preservation and promotion of “Karma” of tribal communities in the new budget. He informed that a provision of Rs 2 crore 24 lakh has been made in the budget for expansion and development of infrastructure development and basic facilities in famous religious places like Girodpuri as well as Bhandapuri to convey the message of Sant Shiromani Baba Guru Ghasidas ji. A provision of Rs 17.80 lakh has also been made for the construction of Gurdwara (Moti Mahal) in Bhandarpuri Dharma site.
Announcement to open horticulture college in Takhatpur
The Agriculture Minister, while answering the discussion on departmental grant demands, said that the farmer is synonymous with diligence and hard work. Establishment of vertical farming center of excellence in Chhattisgarh
Minister Netam said in the House that the purchase of kharif and rabi crops like maize, mustard, soybean, urad, moong, gram will be arranged through NAFED and NCF. A provision of Rs 80 crore has been kept for this. To promote bamboo cultivation, Rs 10 crore is provided in the new budget. The vertical farming center of excellence is being established in Chhattisgarh. Training and technical cooperation for advanced vertical farming will be provided to farmers through it. A provision of Rs 15 crore has been made for this in the upcoming budget.
