The first batch of vaccine has landed at Mana Airport in the capital. It is being told that in a while, the airport will be sent to the State Vaccine Center. 27 boxes of vaccine have arrived in the first batch. Here, complete preparations have been made in the state regarding vaccination. In the first phase, corona vaccine will be applied to the health sector personnel and frontline workers in Chhattisgarh. According to protocol, the Health Department has made strong arrangements for distribution, transport and storage of these vaccines in all districts of the state. Mockdrills for vaccination in all districts and rehearsal to deal with emergencies have also been done. In the first batch, three lakh 23 thousand vaccines of the Kovishield manufactured by the Serum Institute of India are being provided by the Government of India to Chhattisgarh. These vaccines are certified by ICMR. One state level, three regional and 27 district level cold chain points have been created to send vaccines to the districts. There are currently 630 functional cold chain points and more than 85 thousand liters of cold chain space for safe storage and transport of vaccines in the state. Along with this, 81 additional cold chain points have also been established. There are 1311 cold-boxes available for transport of the vaccine. For the storage of syringes, needles and other materials, 360 dry-storage has also been made across the state.
