Complainant advocate Sultan Ahmed Nizamin told that in 2013 the advocates association had purchased land worth Rs 64 lakhs. Today after 9 years they are telling to sell it for Rs 45 lakh. On one hand the prices of land are increasing everywhere, and on the other hand the price of land has been reduced. Not only this, consent for sale has also not been taken. I have complained to the Chairman in this regard.

Advocate Vijay Rathore told that the former Advocate Association President had formed Advocate Housing Association, for which 800 members had applied by paying Rs 10,000 in addition to the membership fee of Rs 700. Now, without informing the members, the land has been presented for registry, against which we have submitted a memorandum to the President of the Advocates Association. Along with this, an application has been filed for criminal action.

Advocate Sanskar Jain told that there are about 3500 to 4000 members of Raipur District Advocates Association. The organization was formed in 2013-14 to get a plot under the welfare scheme, in which 800 members paid Rs 10,000. With this, two acres of land was purchased in village Bendri. At that time the price of the land was Rs 64 lakh. Today the same land has been sold for only Rs 45 lakh. Its registration was done yesterday in the registrar office of Naya Raipur.

President of Advocates Association, Hitendra Tiwari said that the land has been purchased by Raipur Grih Niwas Samiti a few years ago, about whose functioning we have received information and complaints. Since the land has been sold without the knowledge of all the advocates of this Grih Niwas Samiti. Appropriate action will be taken on this complaint.
