Raipur. Keeping in mind the festival of Holi on the direction of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and on the direction of Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal, arrangements have been made to maintain the medical system of Ambedkar Hospital. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Santosh Sonkar has directed doctors, nursing staff, paramedical staff and other related departments to stay in alert mode.
In view of the possible cases of any type of accident or emergency medical condition during Holi, instructions have been given to keep emergency medical services operational round the clock. OPD (external patient department) will remain closed due to the government holiday on March 14 on the day of Holi, but emergency services will be available 24 hours.
Special arrangements regarding emergency medical services
Adequate availability of life saving drugs and essential resources has been ensured in emergency wards. Medical staff have been instructed to stay on alert mode, so that immediate assistance can be given if needed. All doctors and paramedical staff have been instructed to be prepared for emergency duty. Trauma and emergency units have been particularly empowered to ensure that patients get timely treatment.
Security system will also be tight
Security guards and gunmen have been deployed in the hospital premises to prevent any untoward incident. Security Supervisor has been instructed to take special vigilance and increase security staff. In order to maintain law and order in an emergency, the local police has been coordinated.
