Easy treatment for citizens

Due to the efforts of the Government of Chhattisgarh to provide easy health facilities to the citizens in Chhattisgarh, now citizens are getting health facilities. Under the direction of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Urban Administration and Development Department, where people are being treated by Mobile Medical Unit by reaching urban cramped settlements through Mukhyamantri Swasthya Slum Yojna. At the same time, under the Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store scheme, a huge discount of more than 50 percent is being given to the common citizens on the purchase of high quality generic medicines. This has reduced the cost of treatment. Now a large number of people are able to get treatment. Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme was started from 01 November 2020 to provide health services to the citizens living in urban areas at their doorstep. In the first phase, services were provided by doctors through 60 mobile medical units ambulances in all 14 municipal corporations. Under this, free consultation, treatment, medicines and tests are being provided to the common citizens through medical camps. Chief Minister Dai Didi Clinic is also a link to this scheme. In this, mobile medical units along with entire women staff are going to their settlements for the treatment of women of poor settlements. In the second phase, operation of 60 mobile medical units for municipalities and nagar panchayats has been started from March 31, 2022. Now free consultation, treatment, medicines and pathology lab facilities are available in all urban bodies through 120 mobile medical units. So far, about 39 thousand camps have been organized, about 27 lakh patients have been treated free of cost. Similarly, more than one lakh 18 thousand women patients have been treated free of cost by organizing 1600 camps in Raipur, Bilaspur and Bhilai Municipal Corporations under Dai-Didi Clinic Scheme. Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store scheme has been started for this purpose. Under the scheme, Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores have been opened in all 169 urban bodies of the state. For this, about 194 shops were identified by the urban bodies, out of which 190 shops have been started. 329 types of generic medicines, 28 surgical items are available at discounted rates in these stores. With this, generic medicines are now easily available to the common citizens. It has been made mandatory for government doctors to write generic medicine on the prescription. In order to ensure the quality of the medicine, condition has been placed in these shops to provide generic medicines of reputed companies of the country. Medicines available include Cold, Cough, Fever, Blood Pressure, Insulin as well as Critical Illness Medicines, Antibiotics, Surgical items with a huge discount of minimum 50 percent. The State Government has provided shops on rent to Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store operator by the Municipal Corporation at an attractive rate of Rs. 2 per sq. ft. In addition to other schemes, provision has been made to buy medicines from these medical stores. This scheme was launched by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on 20 October 2021. On this day, about 87 shops were inaugurated in the state bodies. Now more than 190 Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores are being operated.
