Bhupesh Baghel has said that despite the Corona crisis, the interests of the farmers of the state will be ignored and there will be no shortage in meeting their needs. Keeping in mind the Kharif season 2021, the state government has not only engaged in the system of fertilizers and seeds according to the demand of the farmers, but has also started getting them fast in the storage committees. Considering the demand for fertilizers and seeds for Kharif, so far about 45 percent fertilizer and 25 percent certified seeds have been stored in the committees. This process of storage of compost seeds will continue uninterruptedly. Farmers will be able to lift the fertilizer and seeds according to their requirement from the committees. The Chief Minister said that farmers will need money for the preparation of Kharif 2021. Keeping this in mind, the state government will transfer the first installment amount in the form of agricultural inputs to the farmers on May 21, under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana, so that the farmers will be prepared for the farm as well as meeting other agricultural needs. Will be able to do it.

Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said that in view of the demand of 9 lakh 52 thousand 500 quintals for different types of seeds for Kharif 2021, so far availability of 6 lakh 87 thousand 32 quintal certified packaged seeds has been decided. Out of this, 2 lakh 33 thousand 423 quintal seeds have been stored in the societies. The quantity of seeds stored in the committees is 25 percent of the total demand. He informed that the target of various types of chemical fertilizers for the Kharif 2021 season is set at 11 lakh 75 thousand metric tons, against which 5 lakh 25 thousand 528 tons of fertilizer has been stored. This includes storage of 2 lakh 21 thousand 885 tons of urea, 90 thousand 402 tons of DAP, 39 thousand 314 tons of NP, one lakh 8 thousand 522 tons of single super phosphate. So far, 22 thousand 940 metric tonnes of fertilizer have also been taken upfront by the farmers’ committees.
