Raipur. Congress has lodged an objection regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s night stay at Raj Bhavan. The Congress delegation has complained about this to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office. Also, there has been a demand that the Prime Minister should not be stopped at the Raj Bhavan. Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said about the Prime Minister’s stay at the Raj Bhavan, that this is a violation of the model code of conduct because the Raj Bhavan is the residence of the constitutional head Governor. In such a situation, the Prime Minister’s overnight stay at the residence of a constitutional head of the state will directly affect the providers of the entire state and the entire government machinery and will vitiate the conditions for fair elections.
Accusing the BJP, he said that this is a ploy by the BJP to influence the conditions of fair elections, which we oppose. We demand that the Election Commission should direct the Prime Minister to ensure that he stays at some other place as per the protocol instead of Raj Bhavan in accordance with his dignity and his security needs. He said that if the Prime Minister stays at Raj Bhavan and BJP candidates win from even one Lok Sabha seat, then we will directly go to court.
We have submitted a memorandum regarding our demands. If our demands are not met, we will go to court. Regarding our demands, the Chief Electoral Officer says that we are writing a letter to the Election Commission asking for guidance. As soon as we get instructions from there, action will be taken accordingly. .
