Chhattisgarh Congress is all set to launch a ten-day-long protest from Tuesday against the alleged step motherly treatment of the centre towards the state and for wrong policies which had led to the economic slowdown in the country.
AICC’s Chhattisgarh in charge for the party affairs, P.L. Punia, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and PCC Chief Mohan Markam in a joint press conference on Sunday afternoon informed that the protest to be started on November 5 and it will culminate with a massive rally in national capital on November 15.
“Congress President Sonia Gandhi has called for a nationwide 10-day long protest against the alleged flawed policies of Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre and a state-wide protest in Chhattisgarh is a part of it”, Punia informed.
Baghel while addressing the conference said the Chhattisgarh Congress would protest the discrimination done by Centre towards the state and not permitting us to provide Rs 2500 Minimum Support Price to the farmers here.
Earlier, the Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress held a meeting at party’s state headquarters Rajiv Bhawan to fine tune its strategy to make the state-wide protest very successful.
