Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and SSP. Shri Prashant Agrawal reviewed the law and order situation in the district in the Collectorate meeting hall here today. He directed the officials regarding the events, festivals and dharnas, protests and rallies by various organizations to be held in the coming days. The Collector said that the Road Safety World Series cricket tournament is to be held at International Cricket Stadium Parsada from tomorrow, 27th September. In this event two matches will be played on 27th September, one each on 28th and 29th September and the final match will be played on 1st October. On September 27, the match will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the first shift and between England and Australia in the second shift. This day’s match will be free for all. The spectators can watch the match without taking a ticket. He informed that the family visitors will be given entry in gate number 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10. Apart from this, visitors without family can enter from other gates. The collector gave instructions after taking information about the convenience of the visitors, security arrangements with adequate lights at the parking lot, adequate ticket counters, cleanliness, medical arrangements, ambulances, fire brigade etc. He also discussed with the officials regarding Dussehra and Eid festival. Officials said that 10 big Dussehra events are organized in different areas of Raipur city. The Collector instructed to impose magisterial duty at all those places. He also directed the officers while discussing the Navratri festival and Garba events. He said that strict action should be taken against those who play DJ after 10 pm. Apart from this, make sure to strictly follow the guidelines of the Hon’ble Court within the prescribed time and noise limit on normal days. The Collector gave instructions to the officers to ensure that any organization organizes a sit-in demonstration or rally with the permission of the district administration. He directed that action should be taken against dharnas and rallies organized without permission as per rules. Even after getting permission, he directed to ensure that dharnas and protest-rallies are organized peacefully as per permission. In the meeting, the collector also asked the magistrates, magistrates and police officers to maintain constant contact with each other. He also directed the officers to make all the necessary arrangements in advance to conduct the dharnas-demonstrations-rallies in an orderly and peaceful manner. According to the need, arrangements should be made for barricating bamboo-balls, ropes etc. The sites of barricading should also be selected in advance. He directed the officers to conduct the permitted picketing demonstrations with peace and security. Collector instructed to keep a close watch on anti-social elements.
