Purushottam Patra, Gariaband. After the brutal murder of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar in Bastar, the demand for journalist protection law has again arisen in Chhattisgarh. Despite the approval from the Cabinet and the passing of the Bill by the Assembly, this law is still stuck in the Raj Bhavan. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai announced in Gariaband district today that he will soon implement the security law for journalists. The whole country has seen the way we have taken prompt action in the Bijapur case, the government is with the journalists. However, on the question of time limit for journalists, CM Sai has assured to implement the Journalist Protection Act soon.
Gariaband got the gift of development works
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is on a tour of Gariaband district today. Apart from the inauguration of 338 works and Bhoomi Pujan, on the demand of former Bindra Navagarh MLA Govardhan Manjhi, he has also announced the construction of a high level pool on Belat Nala on the way to 36 villages on Jhakharpara road in Devbhog. CM Sai also announced that he will soon contact experts and get research done in the case of kidney sufferers in Supabeda village.
