CM pays tribute to martyrs on Police Commemoration Day

On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day on Monday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid tribute to martyrs and greeted police officials, personnel and their families.

Chief Minister in his message said that job of police personnel is more than a mere livelihood. It is passion and dedication to serve the country and keep its unity, integrity and security intact.

Police personnel live a unique lifestyle dedicating their time and energy to ensure security round the clock, he said.

“Police personnel risk their lives to perform duties so that we may live in a safe and secured environment. Chhattisgarh Police has performed its duties shoulder-to-shoulder with Armed Forces to combat Naxalism. People of Chhattisgarh will always remember their sacrifices and make sure that their martyrdom doesn’t go futile,” Baghel said.

Earlier, Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu paid tribute to the brave martyrs of fourth battalion CAF Mana by placing wreath on the memorials. Governor speaking on the occasion said this day reminds of the bravery and patriotism of these personnel, who sacrificed their lives for motherland.

“The bravery of them will continue to inspire the generations to come. I salute the parents of these brave sons,” said the Governor.
