CM announces to increase the incentive amount for custom milling to rice millers to Rs 120 per quintal

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel reviewed the preparations for custom milling of paddy in the state in a joint meeting of officials of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rice Millers Association and officials of the Food Department this evening. He announced to increase the incentive amount to rice millers to Rs 120 per quintal for systematic custom milling under the system of procurement of paddy on support price in the Kharif marketing year 2021-22 in the state. In the meeting held at his residence office today, Mr. Baghel also discussed various problems of Rice Miller Association and gave directions for their redressal. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel told in the meeting that the price of old jute gunny bags of farmers has been increased from Rs. 18 per piece to Rs. 25. Orders to this effect have been issued by the Food and Civil Supplies Department today. He told the rice millers that the work of collecting rice should be completed within a time period by speeding up the milling work and rice millers should also pay special attention to the supply of gunny bags.
