Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat planted fruit trees under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme in village Adchi of Ambikapur block. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has launched the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Protsahan Yojana through video conferencing to promote tree plantation and to motivate the farmers towards plantation. Food Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat was also involved in the tree plantation program organized through video conferencing. After planting saplings, Chief Minister Shri Baghel discussed with the farmers of Surguja district through video conferencing and inquired about planting saplings in the fields. Chief Minister Shri Baghel told the farmers that under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Protsahan Yojna, for the next three years, for the next three years, for the next three years, people will get the benefit of planting trees in their own fields at the rate of Rs.10 thousand per acre.
Food Minister Shri Bhagat told Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel that the tribals and farmers of Surguja district have a special attachment to Mahua trees and it is also their main source of income. On this occasion, Surguja Collector, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer, Chief Conservator of Forests, Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Officer were present along with Bal Krishna Pathak, President of Medicinal Plant Board.
