Raipur, April 18, 2025. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the ‘Good Governance Festival 2025,’ being organized in three phases from April 08 to May 31 in Chhattisgarh, is being seen by the people of the state as a sensitive and result-oriented initiative. This event has become a medium for connecting the government directly with the public, where problems are being resolved at the primary level.

During the Good Governance Festival, application boxes have been set up in the offices of Gram Panchayats and urban bodies, in which citizens are directly submitting applications related to their problems. This effort has given a new direction to communication and trust between the government and citizens. Many families, like Laxmibai Vishwakarma of Kondagaon, have received direct benefits of schemes for the first time.

In a poignant story from Kondagaon district, Laxmibai’s family, who had been living under a polythene roof for years, not only received the benefit of a ration card and pension scheme, but the process of approving a permanent house under the Atal Awas Yojana has also begun. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, Laxmibai said that today we feel that the government is very sensitively ready to fulfill our demands.

In Rajnandgaon too, the problems of laborers were resolved with quality during the Good Governance Festival. Mrs. Bharti Dewangan was immediately provided with a labor card after labor registration, while Mrs. Shunni Bai and Mr. Tikam Singh Sewata were also given relief by reviving the cards that had been canceled due to duplication. The Labor Department also promptly acted on Sangeeta Sahu’s child’s scholarship application.

Mr. Manohar Singh Patel, a resident of village Janghora in Mahasamund district, had been waiting for years for an Ayushman card. Under the Good Governance Festival, his application was taken seriously and he was provided with the card in just 24 hours. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for the government’s sensitivity, he said, “Now we can get treatment without worrying about money.”

Mr. Mukesh Verma, a resident of Tilda (Raipur), had applied for a driving license. Under the Good Governance Festival, his application was taken seriously by the department. After completing the formalities, he was given his learning license. Mr. Verma praised the government’s promptness and called it a meaningful step towards empowering the common man.

In the midst of all this, the Good Governance Festival not only limits the government’s schemes to publicity but also ensures that its real benefits reach the last person. This initiative is a confluence of administrative sensitivity, technical efficiency, and a human approach, which is realizing the idea of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ on the ground.

This visionary initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has set an example of quick resolution of public interest problems. The positive feedback being received from various districts and the satisfaction on the faces of the citizens indicate that good governance in Chhattisgarh is now not just a word, but is moving towards becoming a pleasant experience.
