Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary on 15 December. Remembering Sardar Patel, he has said that Sardar Patel played a leading role in the Indian freedom struggle. During the struggle for independence, he provided efficient leadership to many movements. After attaining independence, he made an unforgettable contribution to the integration of the country by merging the princely states into the Indian Union.
