Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the beautification works of the historic Bandha Talab during his stay in Kondagaon. Spread over 15 acres, the work of tow-wall, peaching, pathway, fountain, stone ghat and electrical beautification has been done at a cost of Rs. 02 crore 50 lakh. Boat excursion facility will also be available for the visitors. The Chief Minister also unveiled the statue of the newly constructed Veer Gundadhur and Veerangana Rani Durgavati and the famous craftsman of the district Late Jayadev Baghel on the banks of this historic pond. On this occasion, the Chief Minister along with Rajya Sabha MP Mrs. Phoolodevi Netam, Bastar MP Mr. Deepak Badge, Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma, Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister Mr. Guru Rudrakumar, Kondagaon MLA Mohan Markam, along with public representative Ravi Ghosh, MLA Representative Manish Srivastava, Councilor Tarun Golchha, Collector Shri Pushpendra Kumar Meena, Police Officer Shri Sindharth Tiwari and other officers and employees were present.
Panipuri and coconut water were also enjoyed at Chowpatty situated on the banks of the pond. Also, the Chief Minister took a photo with two children Aman and Vaibhav Mercam and a selfie with a little girl Kriti. On this occasion, there was a race to take selfies with the Chief Minister and the Chief Minister accepted his request and took a selfie with him.
