    Chief Minister honored Baiga, Gunia and Sirha, protectors of tribal traditions

    Jagdalpur 18 November 2024/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai honored the guardians of tribal traditions Baiga, Guniya and Sirha by giving them shawl and quince in a program organized at Circuit House today. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that traditional tribal communities like Baiga, Gunia and Sirha will now be given a Samman Nidhi of Rs 5,000 each every year. This initiative is an important step towards promoting the cultural traditions of the tribal society and their economic empowerment.

    He said that the government is committed to the preservation and development of the culture and traditions of the tribal society. Such decisions will prove helpful in making the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh self-reliant and enhancing their pride. Chief Minister Shri Sai stressed the importance of cherishing the traditions of the tribal community and making them partners in the development of the society. On this occasion, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Shri Kiran Dev, former MLA Mahesh Gagda and local public representatives were present.
