Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inspected the ongoing development works at City Ground Football Ground

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today observed the ongoing development works at the Football Ground City Ground in Jagdalpur. On this occasion, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of 138 houses under 36 quarters redevelopment. After demolishing the dilapidated 36 quarters, a grand multi-storey building will be constructed here by the Housing Board. In which 6 floors will be constructed in addition to the ground floor. There will be 48 houses with 3 bedroom hall, kitchen and 90 with 2 bedroom hall, kitchen. Half of these houses will be allotted to government employees and half of the houses will be available for sale privately. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also reviewed the proposed outline of Nehru Memorial Udyan and Jhiram Memorial Udyan. Collector Rajat Bansal informed about the development works being done in two phases at City Ground. He said that in the first phase, the work of upgradation of the ground has been done at a cost of more than five crore rupees. In these, the main football ground, practice football ground, sitting gallery, toilet room, changing room, parking, high mast flood light and electric panel control room have been constructed. In the second phase, the work of construction of complex, grand gate, boundary wall is being done with an amount of about Rs. 1 crore 16 lakh. He said that the ground would be maintained with the amount received from the complex constructed here. On this occasion, President of Bastar Development Authority Mr. Lakheshwar Baghel, MP Mr. Deepak Baij, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Rekhchand Jain, Chitrakot MLA Mr. Rajman Benzam, Mayor Mrs. Safira Sahu, Municipal Corporation Chairman Mrs. Kavita Sahu along with public representatives and senior officials were present. Chief Minister showed Jauhar in Football During his meeting with the trainee children on this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel showed his Jauhar in Football. He kicked the football in the very first attempt from a distance of about thirty feet and fired it into the goal post. On this occasion, the Chief Minister presented rudders to the children of football and players of Kayaking and Canoeing. He also met senior players and sports coaches here on the occasion.
