Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court Justice Mr. Arup Kumar Goswami reached Kondagaon, his wife’s craft city, met the artisans and inquired about the nuances of tribal crafts. He observed the artefacts being prepared by state level awardee bellmetal craftsmen Phoolsingh Sagar and Bajrang Kuldeep and Amin Netam, Amrit Baghel and praised the beautiful and attractive texture with excellent workmanship. Along with this, Chief Justice Mr. Goswami observed the rich crafts of Bastar in Shabari Emporium with fine art like bellmetal, woodcraft, tumashilp, bamboo craft, iron craft, terracotta etc. and appreciated the skill of these unique artefacts and craftsmen. During this he bought artefacts of Belmetal craft, Tuma craft, Bamboo craft and Iron craft. Where he bought Todi, a tribal musical instrument made of Belmetal, a lamp made of Tuma craft, a flute of bamboo craft and a Laman lamp made of iron craft. On this occasion, Collector Mr. Deepak Soni informed that the Jhitku-Mitki Craftsmen Producer Company, formed in the name of the main characters of Bastar’s famous folk tale Jhitku-Mitki, is the only company of craftsmen in the state, which helps the craftsmen here, including selling their products, for their Providing support from training to designing and global marketing. Due to which the artisans are getting the proper reward of their hard work, including taking the craft products here to the country and abroad. He told that in this company of Shilp Nagri, there are unmatched skilled national and state awardee craftsmen, whose unique artefacts have now become famous all over the world. During this, the Registrar General of Chhattisgarh High Court Mr. Arvind Verma, District and Sessions Judge Mr. Uttara Kumar Kashyap, Collector Mr. Deepak Soni, Superintendent of Police Mr. Divyang Patel, CEO District Panchayat Mr. Prem Prakash Sharma and district administration officers were present.
