One of the three friends who had come for a picnic on the Shivnath river near Rampur late evening today, a young man who was an advocate by profession, died after drowning in the river along with his car. Although his drunk friends tried their best to save him and even pulled him out of the river, but by then it was too late. This case pertains to Karahi Bazaar police post.

Deceased’s friend Pawan told that the three friends had gone to the river bank for a picnic. During this time he had consumed alcohol. At the time of the incident, Jayalal was in the car and the two friends were washing their faces in the river. Meanwhile, Jayalal started the car and entered the river. An attempt was made to save him, he took him out and also informed the police about the incident. When he was hurriedly taken to the district hospital with the help of the police, the doctor declared him dead.

In the matter, Karhi Bazar outpost in-charge Naveen Shukla told that three friends Jaylal Sonwani, Yashwant Dinkar and Pawan Chhindode had come for picnic near Rampur temple. One of the young men, Jailal Sonwa, who did not know how to drive a car, started the car and took it towards the river. Due to lack of control, the young man went straight into the river with the car. Seeing this incident his friends came to save him and took him out. When information about the incident reached, the police took the youth to the district hospital. Where the doctors have declared him dead. The police have established a route and started further investigation. The deceased advocate and his companions are residents of the vicinity of Karahi Bazaar outpost. The family members of the deceased have been informed about the incident.
