Chhattisgarh government is committed for the welfare and development of women: Shri Bhupesh Baghel

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today attended the conclave of TV-27 news channel based on the theme ‘Badla Chhattisgarh and Nari Shakti’. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that women have always been respected in Chhattisgarh. It has the highest sex ratio after Kerala. Chhattisgarh government is continuously working for the empowerment of women. Our government is committed to the welfare and development of women. While congratulating the TV-27 news channel, the Chief Minister said that this channel is being run entirely by women, it is a very good thing. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that half of our population is of women. Progress is not possible without their equal participation. Women play a major role in any family. Work is being done by our government for women to get good education. That’s why we have arranged for free education. The more educated the women, the more the family will progress and the society will progress. Mr. Baghel said that we have linked women self-help groups with various schemes. They are manufacturing various products including Vermi Compost, Ghani Oil in Gauthans. Marketing of these products was arranged, due to which the product made by women self-help is getting good response and the groups are getting good income. The work of the Women Self Help Groups was also appreciated by Shri Raghuram Rajan, former Governor of Reserve Bank of India. The Chief Minister said that we worked for the preservation of the Teej festivals and culture of Chhattisgarh. Major Teej festival Teeja-Pora, Hareli Tihar was organized at the Chief Minister’s residence. Due to the work being done by the state government, people are feeling that this government is their own government. Talking about education, Mr. Baghel said that if a child receives education in mother tongue, then it is easily assimilated. Therefore, work is being done to promote education in local language in our schools. Sanskrit is our ancient language, in order to promote it, it has been decided to teach Sanskrit subject in Atmanand School. In the program, the Chief Minister and other guests were also presented with a memento by the organizers. Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu and Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey also addressed the program. Along with folk artist Ms. Poonam Tiwari also performed.
