Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission has held public hearing today and tomorrow to fix electricity tariff for the financial year 2021-22. Earlier, the Commission had asked for suggestions and objections from the people on the electricity distribution company’s ptions to determine electricity rates. Which will be heard from today.
On the first day, today, agriculture and agriculture related work, non-domestic and domestic consumers have been called for hearing. While on Wednesday, all the high pressure, low pressure industries, local bodies, municipal corporations and trade unions have been called for hearing.
The Chhattisgarh State Electricity Distribution Company has filed a new year tariff petition with the Commission. In which this year a profit of about 2 thousand crore rupees has been reported, but at the same time it has also appealed to adjust the loss of about 6 thousand crore rupees in the last two years. After public hearing on this petition, the people will decide the new tariff rate.
