Chhattisgarh has become the top 10 most private investment state in the country in the wake of global epidemic and economic recession. As per the latest released report of Project Today, between October to December 2020 in the third quarter of the financial year 2020-21, Chhattisgarh has received proposals for private investment of Rs 10228 crore for manufacturing. At the same time, 104 MoUs have been held in Chhattisgarh in the last two years under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Through them, a capital investment of Rs 42 thousand 714 crore is proposed in the state. With this, Chhattisgarh has emerged as the most favorable state for investors.
It may be noted that after the formation of the new government in Chhattisgarh, a new industrial policy has been implemented, in which a favorable climate for investors has been created by the state government by giving new facilities and concessions. In this new industry policy, the emphasis on development of backward areas, special priority to agro-based industries and land allocation in industrial areas for industrial development has been reduced by 30 percent. At the same time, in addition to the traditional core sector, it has been included in the priority category to promote robotics, artificial intelligence.
The Government of Chhattisgarh has set a target of creating a new Chhattisgarh with inclusive growth, self-reliant and mature economy, as its implementation, which has introduced many new schemes and projects. This is the reason that Chhattisgarh is among the top 10 in the list of states in terms of getting the maximum investment in the manufacturing sector even in the face of this economic recession. In the third quarter of the financial year, Chhattisgarh has received a total private investment of Rs 10228 crore for the project.
The report on Project Today’s report has been published in a reputed English newspaper in the country. It states that the private investment proposal in manufacturing in the third quarter of the country has increased by 102 percent. While Tamil Nadu received the most investment proposals in the first quarter, in the second quarter, Chhattisgarh received the most investment proposals, surpassing Tamil Nadu. At the same time, in the third quarter also, Chhattisgarh is in the list of top ten states receiving private investment in manufacturing sector.
