Chhattisgarh: 7 interstate bookies running Mahadev Satta app from Goa arrested, transactions worth more than Rs 100 crore, 13 laptops, 48 ​​mobiles, 26 passbooks, 40 ATM cards seized, 84 accounts frozen.

Manoj Yadav, Korba. Korba Police has taken major action against interstate bookies who were betting on IPL through Mahadev App. Seven bookies were arrested from Goa and one from Korba. All the seven accused used to operate IPL betting from Mahadev M-100, M-151 panels sitting in Goa. Police took this action on Mahadev organizational input.

Korba SP Siddharth Tiwari told in the press conference that the arrested inter-state bookies include 04 accused from Chhattisgarh, 02 from Maharashtra and 1 accused from Haryana, who used to run the panel of Mahadev Satta App by renting a flat in Goa. 13 nos. of laptops, 48 ​​nos. smart mobile phones, 26 nos. pass books, 14 check books and 40 ATM cards have been seized from the possession of bookies. The total value of the seized Mashrooka is said to be around Rs 25,00,000.

84 accounts charged, Rs 30 lakh held

SP said, information about a total of 135 bank accounts used for operating the panel has been received from the arrested bookies, in which the money trail is being analyzed. A crime has been registered against the bookies in the police station. Due action is being taken to hold/freeze the deposits in bank accounts. Transactions worth more than Rs 100 crore were found in various bank accounts of speculators. Investigation is ongoing in this matter. Police have frozen 84 accounts of different banks, in which Rs 30 lakh was put on hold.
