Chairman’s chair fell: No-confidence motion passed with full majority in District Panchayat, Chairman was out but Vice Chairman kept his post safe.

After the change of power in the state, no-confidence motions are being brought continuously in the bodies and the incumbent President and Vice President are proving unsuccessful in saving their safe positions. Now a no-confidence motion was brought today against the post of President and Vice President of Janpad Panchayat Wadrafnagar of Balrampur district. Voting regarding the no-confidence motion was conducted in the district panchayat assembly hall. Where in the voting process, 20 out of 25 members voted in favor of the no-confidence motion for the post of Speaker. Whereas before the no-confidence motion, the Vice President retained his post by getting a stay from the High Court.

The members of the District Panchayat accused the President and Vice President of the District Panchayat of arbitrariness and misusing the funds of the item. Members of the District Panchayat said that the District President and Vice President do not listen to any of the members. At the same time, government funds are misused in an arbitrary manner. SDM Wardfnagar Chetan Sahu said that a no-confidence motion was filed against the Speaker, for which a meeting was called. In which a total of 25 members voted. During this, 20 votes were cast in favor of the no-confidence motion and 5 votes were cast in opposition. In this way the no-confidence motion was passed.
